This application was developed as part of a hands-on course project, in collaboration with two other team members. Together, we worked through all stages of the development process — from requirement analysis and user experience (UX) planning to user interface (UI) design and implementation. The project emphasized teamwork, division of responsibilities, and collaborative learning, all of which contributed to the final product.
About the Project
User Profile: Roni
15 Year Old Student
Roni is a 15-year-old student in 9th grade in a special education class at a school in Haifa.
She is a student whose presence is felt, loves being the center of attention, curious, creative, active in lessons, and always eager to help.

Most of the time, Roni struggles to express her emotions and articulate herself.
Outside of school, she actively participates in sports and arts clubs.

What the App Aims to Solve
The project makes the learning experience feel possible, comfortable, and diverse.

Peer learning (for example, sharing learned materials with others).
Acquiring general knowledge in topics that interest the student and enriches them.
Target Audience
Children in grades 9-12.
Students diagnosed with learning disabilities, whose diagnosis indicates difficulties with organization.
COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
Google Classroom
A digital classroom management platform provided by the Ministry of Education, accessed with the student's personal code.
Advantages:
-
Enables social interaction
-
Ability to create a new class with friends
-
Feedback from teachers and student-teacher communication
-
Organizes a list of assignments: pending and completed
-
Allows Roni to listen to lessons even after class, which supports her stronger listening skills over writing
Disadvantages:
-
Unintuitive and cumbersome design
-
Not a social network; limited to a specific class without broader content sharing
-
Roni cannot easily share her thoughts or justify them, as the lessons are structured and closed
-
She needs to independently organize and sort the material she listens to by subject, which can be challenging for her.

OneNote

A digital note-taking application.
Advantages:
-
Everything is concentrated in one place, minimizing the risk of losing materials.
-
Clearly organized and visually structured.
Disadvantages:
-
Can overwhelm Roni with the number of notebooks.
-
Requires her to independently organize each notebook by subject and lesson — similar to manually setting up a notebook for each class.

Canva
A platform for design templates
Advantages:
-
Collaborative work on files.
-
Integration with different apps.
-
Combination of text and visuals.
Disadvantages:
-
Not organized into folders.
-
Colorful interface can be distracting.
-
Overly wide variety of options.
How This Project Differs from Existing Applications
First Aspect – The app is designed not only for writing educational content but also for expressing it through drawing,
voice recording, and uploading images that help with understanding the material.
Second Aspect – The app's design is more user-friendly and age-appropriate for the target audience.
Third Aspect – The app allows for time spent beyond academic purposes, including enrichment activities and chatting with classmates.
What the App Is Not Designed to Do for the Student
-
The app does not record live lessons.
-
There is no real-time communication with the teacher.
-
Enrichment content is not created by the teacher.
-
The student cannot upload content to the app other than required assignments.
